6. Dingbats

Dingbats are visual word puzzles in which a word or saying is hidden in a cryptic or otherwise unique arrangement of symbols. At the 32nd FIDE Meeting, Bournemouth, 19-26.8.1989, Colin Sydenham organized a Dingbats tourney, for dingbats concealing the names of problemists (feenschach 93, pg. 206)).
